Well, it turns out that my co-worker and I weren't totally responsible for our database server's demise. Seems it was a fiber-card failure. So now we are waiting for the vendor's tech support to come and replace the card. Hopefully that's the only problem and we can get back to work. These things always happen when you are actually trying to get something done!!!

This is a wonderfully readable history of the Peloponnesion War by Victor Davis Hanson. Definitely for the history buff. He explicates the war chronologically, but also covering its major themes.
